Eng. Dr. Vincent B.A. Kasangaki has been a member of the Electricity Authority since June 2000.

He is a distinguished professional Electrical Engineer. He has over 30 years experience in teaching, system design, management, and consultancy.


He rose through the academic ranks at Makerere University to the level of Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. At Makerere University he served in various capacities including Head of Department of Electrical Engineering for 2 years from 1988 to 1990.

He has considerable experience in management and administration; he having held several administrative positions, including his present post of Principal of the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology where he is the chief executive. He has skills in Project Planning and Management, Strategic Planning, and Corporate Governance.


Eng. Dr. Vincent B. A. Kasangaki is a good leader as evidenced by the elective leadership positions of responsibility he has held both at Makerere, and in Professional/Civic organisations in Uganda. He has good communication and inter-person skills. His administrative and management experience has enabled him to develop good public relations skills, which are vital in the private and public sectors. He has considerable experience in financial planning, management and control.

Eng. Dr Vincent B.A. Kasangaki is a professional Registered Engineer (in Uganda) with over 30 years experience in the field of Electrical Engineering, specialising in electric power systems, energy management and planning, control systems, digital and communication systems. He has been the lead Electrical Consulting Engineer for several projects. He is a Past President of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers; and a former member of the Engineers Registration Board. He is a former Business Manager, Technology Consults Limited a consulting firm based in the faculty of Technology, Makerere University
