Bulk Supply Tariffs (BST) |

|
Transmission tariffs also referred to as the ‘bulk supply tariffs’ are prices charged by Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) to the distribution companies. It is a Time of Use (ToU) energy charge, with three time bands namely Peak (18.00 – 24.00 hrs), Shoulder (6.00 – 18.00 hrs) and Off-peak (24.00 – 6.00 hrs). The time of use periods, which are set by ERA are amended from time to time depending on the load profile. |

In accordance with Clause 61 of the Electricity Act 1999, cap 145, Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited is mandated to import and export electric power in Uganda. The Current Export/Import Tariffs (July 2008) are shown in the table below: |
