This department is headed by the General Counsel – Mr. Johnson Kwesigabo who works with other technical officers namely;

• The Legal officer – Mrs Ritah Zaramba Sekadde.
• The Librarian – Mrs. Christine Ssemwogerere.

The tasks for The Legal department include but are not limited to;

1. Work as cross cutting teams.
2. Leaders in all secretariat legal matters.
3. Legal advisers to the Authority.
4. Ensure Legal compliance of Licensees.
5. Custodians of Statutory / regulatory information and reports.
6. Custodians of the Research cent re.
7. Coordinate licensing of all ERA certified wire persons
