Mr. Faizal Jingo Kasujja
Mr Jingo Faizal Kasujja, a member of the Electricity Regulatory Authority, is working with K-Management Consultants and Associates Limited, where he is fully engaged in providing consultancy services in general management, personnel selection, marketing and sales management, finance and preparation of feasibility studies for various enterprises. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce, Honours degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan). He has attended several professional training, workshops and seminars, including the certificate in Utility Regulation and Strategy, organized by the World Bank and the University of Florida at the Public Utilities Research Institute, and many others in Management and Development. He is an experienced banker and worked in the Uganda Development Bank, where he rose through the ranks up to the position of General Manager, operations, until he retired. Before joining the Bank, he was the Head, Consultancy and Management Advisory Services at the Management Training and Advisory Center, and had worked as a Marketing Officer in the HH Kabaka’s Government (defunct) in the mid 60’s. He has carried out numerous duties by the Bank and the Ministry of Finance during his reign as General Manager (Operations) and Head of Industry Department at the Uganda Development Bank. These included among others; negotiating for loan funds, being a member of the subcommittee of cabinet that was responsible for rehabilitating Apollo Hotel Corporation, chairing the rehabilitation of Kinyara Sugar Works Ltd, chairing the Task Force Team that was working towards the establishment of the Agricultural Finance Institution, and participated in the preparation of background papers for the Enterprise Development Project and the East African Management Institute (ESAMI). He has attended several annual meetings of African Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank, and was a member of the Movement Parliamentary Task force in charge of Finance, among others. He has served as a board member on several institutions, corporations and companies. He is a Board Member of the Finance committee of Islamic University in Uganda, First Insurance Co. Limited and the Technology Consult Ltd. Last but not least, he is a member of the Royal Commission appointed by the Kabaka of Buganda to look into the assets of Buganda Kingdom. |
